INTRODUCTION
 

Machining technology is progressing quickly, CNC Machining Centres form the core of manufacturing operations right from producing auto parts to machine critical aerospace components. Its effective application can ensure increased productivity, highest accuracy, rigidity and improved surface finish. In modern CNC machine shops, CAD/CAM softwares are being used for machining complex profiles which cannot be programmed manually. Systematic training in CAD/CAM with hands-on practice is a must to realise the benefits of productivity and quality in CNC machining.

Mastercam is a very powerful CAM system for driving CNC Turning as well Machining Centres and is a simple software for learning and use. IMTMA Technology Centre is equipped with CAD/CAM and CNC machines for imparting hands-on training and is authorised for certification / training in Mastercam.

Keeping this in view, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) is organising 3 day programme on "5 Axis CNC Programming using Mastercam".
