The Automobile, Manufacturing, Construction and all other industries including service are going through a continuous change. The customer expectations are ever increasing and compliance norms are becoming more stringent. Manufacturing being at the core of this, what matters are Quality Orientation and Commercial Acumen.  Quality orientation is the ability to deliver highest quality standards that fulfils customer needs and commercial acumen is the ability to understand how the initiatives, actions & interactions are having the financial consequences.

5S is a five-step methodology, when followed, creates a more organized and productive workplace. The 5S's are: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain. 5S serves as a foundation for deploying lean management and continual improvement journey.

Embedding 5S as a part of daily tasks within organization means much more than improved organization, sustained cleaning routines, and efficient activity flows. By using the 5S methodology, operators & management are encouraged to improve their overall work environment, reduce waste and customer experience.

The workshop will focus on understanding the concepts, execution strategies and realizing the power of doing the things differently with focus on process & system development, compliance and alignment.

Keeping this in view, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association is organizing a training program on "5S for OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE".

This programme will benefit to key shop floor stakeholders & office floor stakeholders. All who controls the shop floor and office floor are the right learners & executers of 5S.

The programme will be highly interactive, co-creating the 5S system, and using adult learning principles.

This programme will be conducted by Dr Ravikumar Kurhade.

Dr Ravikumar, by education is M Tech from IIT Kharagpur, MBA & Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from SGBAU Amravati. He is having an overall 26 years of extensive experience and expertise helping the industries (Steel, Power, Projects, Oil, Shipping, Logistic, Telecom, Elevators & Escalators, Machining, Fabrication, Education, etc) to acquire the knowledge & skills, solving the problems for enhancing performance and earning competitive advantages.
