INTRODUCTION
The first step to enhance the process efficiency and quality of a Value Stream is to identify the waste in the process. Identification and elimination of Waste is the main objective of the Toyota Production System. Value Stream mapping aims to see flow of material and information across value stream, identify both Value added / Non-Value added activities and wastes in the flow. It enables the organization to focus on main priorities to achieve its goals. Elimination of waste requires a stepwise approach, in synchronization with the guidelines for creating a Lean Value Stream. It enables to begin the journey towards waste reduction. Then by implementing various guidelines and tools of Lean Manufacturing we design, develop and achieve much better Value stream. Keeping this in view, IMTMA is organizing an online program on Value Stream Mapping with case studies and examples.
