INTRODUCTION

A skill matrix is a valuable tool used by organizations to assess and visualize the skills and competencies of employees. Multi-skilling refers to training employees in multiple roles or functions to enhance flexibility and adaptability in the workforce. Together, these concepts contribute to improved efficiency, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Using a skill matrix in conjunction with multi-skilling strategies can significantly enhance an organization's adaptability, efficiency, and overall performance. By identifying skills, addressing gaps, and promoting cross-training, companies can create a more resilient workforce that is well-equipped to meet changing demands. This approach not only supports operational excellence but also fosters employee satisfaction and engagement.

Keeping this in mind, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association is organizing a training program on "Unlocking Workforce Potential: Mastering Skill Matrices and Multiskilling".
