Lean manufacturing is a method of manufacturing goods primarily through reducing times within the production system as well as response times from suppliers and customers. Lean focuses only on supplying goods that have been ordered and focus on efficiency, productivity (with a commitment to continuous improvement), and reduction of "wastes" for the producer and supplier of goods. Lean manufacturing adopts the just-in-time approach and additionally focuses on reducing cycle, flow, and throughput times by further eliminating activities that do not add any value for the customer.

This course is ideal for those who are responsible for Operations management, QA/QC, and Maintenance departments including department managers, supervisors, and engineers who have a focus on business improvement, performance and profitability improvement.

Mr. Amarendra is a B.E. (Met) graduate from CoE Pune and is an industry expert with over 35 years of experience in Steel, White Goods and Automotive industry. He has conducted several training programmes, seminars & workshops on Cost Reduction and Quality Improvement related subjects. He is a consultant to reputed companies in the area of Productivity and Quality improvement and also acts as a consultant to few companies about Business Excellence.

Mr. Amarendra is former Corporate Quality Head at Tata Steel- Wire Division, Head QA at Jindal SAW Ltd., and has also served in Blue Star and NRB Bearings as Head NPQ for over 7 years.
