Latest Trends in Fine Blanking

Date : 25 July, 2024   Location / Mode : Pune

Last date for registration 18 July 2024
INTRODUCTION

Although Fine Blanking existed as a technology that could economically replace multiple machining operations in certain product-segments since the first world war; in India its penetration has been rather limited to manufacturing of items like chain links, sprockets, clutch plates etc. The main reason for this has been lack of Fine Blanking Die Manufacturing and Maintenance capability and lack of knowledge about potential benefits of using this technology. This Technology has matured immensely and over the years it has improved significantly, putting to rest many pre-set notions and apprehensions that may have been restricting it.

In order to present latest update on this lesser known but promising Technology, IMTMA is organising a training program on Latest Trends in Fine Blanking Technology.

  • How does Fine Blanking work?
  • Comparison with Conventional Blanking
  • Economics and Benefits of Fine Blanking
  • Limitations of Fine Blanking and how those limitations have been now overcome
  • DFM rules for Fine Blanking
  • Force Calculation & Simulation
  • Fine Blanking Tools
  • Modern Fine Blanking Presses & Newly added features
  • Advanced trends in Fine Blanking Presses

  • Overview of Process, Technology and Equipment
  • Existing and Potential Application Areas
  • What all has improved recently
  • Specifics of operating parameters and performance expectancy
  • Case Studies

This program will be conducted by Mr. Avinash Khare.

Mr. Avinash Khare is presently working as a Consultant Head for IMTMA Pune Technology Centre for last 5 years; he has been designing, developing content and delivering wide range of Training Courses as a Faculty.
