CE Marking for Export Markets - Europe North America & GCC countries

INTRODUCTION

The current emphasis of 'Make in India" and thrust being on exports makes it imperative that the industries develop their skills and knowledge levels to succeed. One of the concern areas, is the “Compliance and legal requirements of the exporter and importer”, which is often neglected in the beginning by the stake holders resulting in time delay, loss, etc., To sell a product in Global market one needs to understand and comply to the relevant “Law of Land” right from the design stage to avoid any non-compliances. The manufacturer should also know the options available for conformity assessment. Cases of Manufacturers exporting products and incurring losses, owing to lack of knowledge of export compliances are prevalent these days. Hence it is important to understand the requisite export compliances before venturing into exporting of products to other countries.

Keeping this in mind, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association is organizing a training program on CE Marking. This program is aimed at providing an insight to the manufacturers of products and machinery intending to sell their products in the European markets, North American and GCC markets.
