Hands-on training on Designing and Operating Electrical Control panels

Focus Areas

  • Reading, Designing of Control & Power circuits as per requirement.
  • Introduction of Ele panel components including connections & functions of each.
  • Learning of Colour coding , polarity, routing of wires, stripping & crimping of lugs.
  • Trouble shooting of problems in power, control circuits & solving problems.
  • Implementing machine & human safety at work places.

Background

An Electrical Control panel is an enclosure, typically a metal box or plastic moulding which contains important electrical components that control and monitor a number of electrical, mechanical processes. They are energised systems that require designing of power & control circuit then wiring as per drawing with important safety devices then planned preventative maintenance and condition-based monitoring using the most effective methods. Electrical personnel will need to gain access within control panels for fault devices finding, adjustments, and electrical safety testing. Operators will interact with the controls of the panel to operate and control the plant and process.

Components within the control panel will facilitate many tasks, they may monitor many electrical quantities within circuit and signal to open or close breakers. They are commonplace and integral to most industries. Problems with them, including neglect, can cause havoc to any business operation and endanger employees.

This training makes the safe operation of panels a desirable skill for both electrical and non-electrical workers as per industrial application.

To extend the benefits of experience and competency in Industry, Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers Association is organising a programme on “Hands-on training on Designing and Operating Electrical Control panels”.

Key Takeaways

After undergoing this training program, participants will be able to-  Design, read, connect, troubleshoot, service, modify circuits as per customer requirement following safety.
